Tata Altroz Premium Hatchback Now In Nepal; What to Expect?

Tata Motors Nepal is launching the much-anticipated Altroz premium hatchback on 17th September.  The Altroz is the first vehicle developed on the new ALFA architecture and the second vehicle showing the Impact 2.0 design language. Tata Altroz is also the recipient of the 5-star adult safety rating from Global NCAP, the foremost global car assessment program.Inside, the Tata Altroz gets a modern and sleek looking cabin with features like a free-standing 7.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a six-speaker Harman audio system, push-button start-stop, auto climate control, auto headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers, multi-function steering wheel, one-touch auto down the window (driver's side), front and rear armrests, rear AC vents with a 12-volt socket, and leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob. The model also comes with customizable lighting for the infotainment system and console, ambient lighting, fabric upholstered seats, umbrella holder, 24 storage spaces, and a lot more.The Altroz is available in two engine options - Petrol and Diesel, five trim levels – XE, XM, XT, XZ, and XZ (O), and four customization packs - Style, Urban, Rhythm, and Luxe, in the Indian market. The Altroz Petrol is powered by a 86 bhp/113 Nm 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. Similarly, the Altroz is powered by an 89 bhp/200 Nm 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine.  Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.[table id=45 /][table id=46 /]Here is what you can expect from each variant feature-wise.Tata Altroz XE:The Tata Altroz XE trim will be the base version on the premium hatchback that will come with the basics including double barrel headlamps, steel wheels with hub caps, chrome finishing on the dashboard, 4-inch LCD instrument console, and a standard steering wheel. It is loaded on the safety front and comes with dual front airbags as standard, along with ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, high-speed limiter, and more. The car also comes with Eco and Drive mode as standard. It misses out on a tonne of other equipment that is being offered on the higher trims.Tata Altroz XM:Moving, the Tata Altroz XM variant is loaded with the essentials including a 3.5-inch infotainment unit, all-four power windows, driver side mood lighting,. Bluetooth and AUX connectivity with two speakers. You also get auto-fold ORVMs. On the exterior front, there are wheel covers, body-colored bumpers, ORVMs, and door handle as part of the package.Tata Altroz XT:The mid-spec Tata Altroz XT variant has been kitted well and it could just be the one most buyers remain curious about. It comes with the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker Harman audio system, push-button start-stop, keyless entry, cruise control, rear parking sensors with reverse camera, LED DRLs, follow me home headlamps, cooled glovebox and more.Tata Altroz XZ:The Tata Altroz XZ includes the new dual-tone alloy wheels, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, auto climate control, auto headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers, multi-function steering wheel, one-touch auto down the window (driver's side), front and rear armrests, rear AC vents with a 12-volt socket, and leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob. The model also comes with customizable lighting for the infotainment system and console, ambient lighting, fabric upholstered seats, umbrella holder, 24 storage spaces, and a lot more.Tata Altroz has scored a 5-star rating in the Global NCAP test which means the car is built for safety. Standard safety kit across all variants includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and CSC, reverse parking sensors, ISOFIX, driver and co-driver seatbelt reminder, high-speed alert system, and impact sensing auto door unlock. You also get a talkback feature where you get a voice alert if the seatbelt isn’t worn, any door or boot lid isn’t shut properly.The Tata Altroz goes against the likes of the Hyundai i20, Suzuki Baleno, and the Volkswagen Polo.
